Medihab warranty
Unless the product information or your order documentation states a longer period, new products supplied by Medihab include a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship from the date of delivery.
This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory consumer rights. It does not replace, restrict or reduce those rights.
What the warranty covers
Where a product develops a manufacturing defect during the applicable warranty period, Medihab will assess the fault and arrange an appropriate warranty remedy. Depending on the product and circumstances, this may involve repair, replacement of a defective component, replacement of the product or another remedy required by law.
Batteries
Unless stated otherwise for a particular product, batteries are covered for 12 months against manufacturing defects, subject to correct charging, storage and maintenance. Batteries are consumable components and naturally lose capacity through age, charging cycles and use. Normal reduction in battery capacity is not itself a manufacturing defect.
We may need to test a battery or obtain diagnostic information before confirming whether a battery problem is covered by warranty.
What is not covered by the warranty
- Normal wear and tear.
- Tyres, inner tubes, bulbs, fuses, brake components and other consumable or service items where failure results from normal use.
- Punctures and accidental tyre damage.
- Accidental damage, misuse, neglect or improper operation.
- Damage caused by incorrect charging, storage, cleaning or maintenance.
- Unauthorised modifications, alterations or repairs.
- Damage caused by using a product contrary to its user instructions or intended purpose.
- Routine servicing, adjustments and maintenance.
- Cosmetic deterioration arising from normal use.
Warranty assessment and engineer visits
We may first carry out telephone, photographic or remote troubleshooting to identify the likely cause of a reported fault. Depending on the product, location and nature of the fault, we may arrange an engineer visit, request return of a component, or arrange return of the product for inspection.
If inspection shows that the problem is not a manufacturing defect and is outside warranty, we will explain the findings and any charge for further repair, parts, labour, collection or call-out before additional chargeable work is carried out.
Making a warranty claim
Contact Medihab using the details on our website or your order confirmation. Please provide your order number or proof of purchase, product model and serial number where available, a description of the problem and any photographs or diagnostic information requested.
Please do not arrange an unauthorised repair or modification before contacting us, as this can make diagnosis more difficult and may affect warranty coverage where the intervention causes or contributes to the fault.
Your statutory rights
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives consumers legal rights where goods are not as described, fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality. Those rights can continue beyond the duration of a manufacturer or retailer warranty. Nothing on this page limits those rights.
